Legal expert on why Chris Rock isn’t pressing charges against Will Smith | Banfield
Chris Rock received several standing ovations before he told one joke Wednesday at his first comedy show since Will Smith slapped him in the face onstage at the Oscars.
Rock only briefly addressed the slap to the sold out crowd in Boston, saying he was “still kind of processing what happened.”
Attorney Tre Lovell, who has represented similar cases, joined NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield to discuss the issues Rock may face.
“They all seem to go through the same mental process. First, it’s the physical pain, which subsides pretty quickly. Then you’re dealing with the mental anguish.”
